On December 9th, 2013 we welcomed our beautiful, healthy daughter, Eva Kay Ackerman. We instantly fell in love with our little dark-haired, bright-eyed girl. She recovered perfectly from a surgery following her birth, and we reveled in her tenacious vitality.
The time we got to spend with Eva was immeasurably precious. Our strong angel filled our hearts immediately and forever. Unfortunately, she would only fill our arms for 22 days.
Eva passed away on December 31st, 2013, from a rare strain of Bacterial Meningitis. Our hearts were shattered, and we miss our daughter all of the time. We know that Eva's legacy continues to help and impact others even while she’s in Heaven.
“Eva” means “life” or “life-giving.”
We’ve seen how her life has given more life to others, and we know this will continue.
That’s where you come in.
We are thankful for the friends and family who contributed to the success of Eva's past Life-Giving Memorial Walks. Over the course of five years, you helped us raise $34,000 for Eva's Life-Giving Memorial Fund, which benefitted the Meningitis Foundation of America.
This year, we invite you to participate in Eva Kay's School Days. This is the year Eva would have started kindergarten. Through an Amazon wish list and a school supplies wish list, we will collect school supplies, classroom materials, cleaning products, and snacks for Franklin Elementary School.

We hope you can help us donate much-needed supplies for the kindergarten classes of Franklin Elementary in memory of Eva!
Thank you for your interest and consideration in donating to our cause, to honor Eva and help others. Please spread the word!
With gratitude and love,
Pat, Elizabeth, Hope, and Dean Ackerman
